DescriptionJordie is a superb solo performer who has been performing since he was nine years old. Jordie won the 2003 Darebin Songwriting Award in the Open Section last year, even though he had just turned 19. His musical performances in the 2004 Melbourne Comedy Festival show "Scotty & Son" (nominated for Best Comedy Show)received rave reviews ... 'played the part to perfection' ... 'wonderful smoky voice' ... 'excellent singing and guitar-playing'. He has a repertoire of fifty original songs that is a unique combination of blues, folk and country, played on acoustic, electric and slide guitars, with occasional harmonica accompaniment and a wonderful rich voice, reminiscent of Ben Harper, Powderfinger, or Crowded House. DescriptionLeticia Maher is a singer/guitarist/songwriter who performs around Melbourne solo and with her band. She released a self-titled debut album in 2005 and is set to release her second CD in May 2009. Recorded with a stellar cast of Melbourne musicians, and mixed by Craig Pilkington, the album is a genre-defying collection, showcasing Leticia's crystal-clear voice and her inspiring and uplifting songs. Leticia’s performances showcase her unique vocal range and acoustic/electric guitar playing. Her songs span a broad range of styles, from cool jazzy-blues though to folk pop. “I love to take my audience away for a while, take them on a journey that they can relate to, tell stories through my songs and express the songs in a way that people’s hearts can identify and connect with”.
